Dave DesRochers Praises HOPE’s Latina History Day Conference
Dave DesRochers was the guest of Dr. Betty Uribe, international best-selling author, values-based leader and speaker and financial executive at California Bank & Trust, at the 11th Annual Latina History Day event sponsored by Hispanas Organized for Political Equality (HOPE®).
Held on Friday, March 8th at the Millennium Biltmore Hotel in downtown Los Angeles, this year’s event was by sponsored The Estée Lauder Companies and Coca-Cola. Its theme of “Bold Innovators” recognized Latinas for their accomplishments both historically and for the innovative contributions they make today.
The conference featured inspirational speakers including:
- Desi Perkins, Digital influencer
- Nely Galan, Author and entrepreneurial powerhouse
- Luz Rivas, Assembly member, California State Assembly
- Maggie Mejia, Inventor, DIY Girls
“It was enlightening to see so many young women engaged in the messages of hope, hard work, determination and goal setting,” said DesRochers. “We at PATH2HappiSuccess are happy to support these inspired women by empowering them to move forward in their careers.”
As the guest of Dr. Uribe, DesRochers was seated at a table sponsored by Southwest Airlines. Also seated at the Southwest-sponsored table were entrepreneur Audrey McKinley of Auto Network Consulting Inc. and Rosario Marin, formerly the 41st treasurer of the United States. DesRochers was one of a few men at the event which drew more than 800 Latina women attendees.
